For more than 40 years, community banking here has meant one thing: people. Showing up for one another. Building relationships based on quality and not quantity. Investing in the place we all call home.
Our mission hasn’t changed… but what has is the way our community learns about finances and makes important financial decisions. If community banks like us want to continue making a difference for today’s customers and the next generation, we must be willing to evolve. But evolving isn’t about changing who we are. It’s about finding new ways to deliver the same service, personal relationships, and local commitment that have always defined FMS Bank in Northern Colorado.
Reaching a New Online Community
We’re honored to share that our recent influencer marketing campaign, “Life, Love, & Finances”, received a Silver Honor in the Financial Services category at the 18th Annual Shorty Awards, one of the world’s leading programs in recognizing excellence in digital and social media marketing.
For a community bank like us, this recognition is especially meaningful. The Shorty Awards celebrates creative work from brands, agencies, and organizations with resources that reflect national and global scales.
Being recognized on a stage as big as this affirms that community banks don’t have to think like everyone else. We can embrace new ideas, tell authentic stories, and connect with people in ways that reflect who we are today and who we aspire to serve tomorrow.
Partnering with Local Creators
For the first time, we partnered with local Colorado creators to tell real stories about life’s financial milestones. The first home, the growing family, the small business dream, and the everyday moments where having a trusted financial partner makes all the difference.
That’s what community banking looks like to us, and it’s only right that we partnered with real community members to tell that story.
We’re incredibly grateful to our partners at Heart & Soul Marketing, whose creativity and strategic vision helped bring this campaign to life while keeping our mission at the center of every decision. We’re also thankful to Date Night Denver and Pamela Maass Garrett, whose authentic voices helped introduce FMS Bank to new audiences across Colorado.
This recognition isn’t really about a marketing campaign. It’s a nice reminder of who we’re trying to be: a bank that respects its roots while still leaning into what’s next. Turns out evolving as a bank while staying rooted in the community aren’t opposite goals. They work best side by side.
Thank you for being part of our story.
