SBA Loan Closing Processor

Pay: $60,000 to $85,000 Depending on Experience

Responsible for coordinating SBA loans from approval through closing and funding, including documentation, due diligence, SBA requirements, and communication with borrowers and third-party partners. Ensures loans are accurately documented, compliant with SBA and bank requirements, and completed timely while managing multiple transactions and competing deadlines.

Essential Duties And
Responsibilities

  • Review SBA loan approvals, credit memoranda, commitment letters, and authorization requirements; prepare complete closing packages and funding checklists; collect, organize, validate, and maintain borrower, guarantor, collateral, insurance, entity, legal, and other required documentation.
  • Complete required SBA forms and support submissions through applicable SBA systems and portals; verify loan terms and documentation align with credit approval, SBA requirements, internal policies, and applicable laws and regulations; identify and escalate documentation exceptions or compliance concerns.
  • Order, collect, and review appraisals, environmental reports, searches, certifications, lien documentation, insurance, and other third-party requirements; coordinate with borrowers, lenders, attorneys, title companies, appraisers, environmental professionals, and other vendors to obtain required information and resolve outstanding items.
  • Track closing conditions, proactively follow up on outstanding items, communicate file status, risks, and expected closing dates, and manage multiple transactions with competing deadlines to support accurate and timely closings and funding.
  • Process loan funding disbursements, accurately document closing costs and uses of funds, maintain accurate loan system records, and ensure files are properly organized, indexed, retained, and complete through post-closing.
  • Provide responsive and professional service to internal and external customers; support audits, file reviews, reporting, and process-improvement initiatives; follow bank operational, compliance, and security policies and procedures; and perform other duties as assigned.
  • Must comply with all company policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.

Education,
Experience, Skills

  • 5+ years of SBA loan processing, closing, documentation, or servicing experience.
  • Working knowledge of commercial loan documentation, collateral, entity documents, closing requirements, financial statements, and credit fundamentals; SBA 7(a) and 504 experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and the ability to learn loan origination, document management, and workflow systems; experience with commercial lending transactions and SBA requirements preferred.
