FMS Bank is proud to announce that two of our community nominations were selected for this year’s #500forGood program, an initiative by the Federal Home Loan Bank of Topeka that funds meaningful local projects across Colorado, Kansas, Nebraska, and Oklahoma.
The program’s mission is simple: to help community banks turn small grants into big impact. And for FMS Bank, that impact is being felt right here at home.

Supporting the Next Generation of Golfers

One of the winning nominations was for the Michael Ray Lee Foundation, an organization founded in memory of a Greeley native whose love for the game of golf and spirit of integrity continues to inspire others.

The foundation provides scholarships and mentorship for young golfers, donates equipment to local schools, and is building a nine-hole beginner course using the SNAG (Starting New At Golf) model, helping make golf more approachable and inclusive for new players.

Honoring Veterans Through the Outdoors

FMS Bank’s second winning nomination supports Colorado Custom Game Calls and Hometown Heroes Outdoors, who partner each year to host an all-expense-paid hunting weekend for veterans.

The event provides food, lodging, gear, and licenses to participants, some seasoned hunters, others brand new, offering a chance to connect, share stories, and experience the camaraderie of the outdoors together.

A Shared Commitment to Community

Programs like #500forGood remind us that even small acts of generosity can make a big difference. At FMS Bank, we’re proud to work alongside organizations that reflect our values of community, connection, and compassion.

When local people invest in local good, the results reach far beyond dollars: they build lasting change.
